Derek Adams is a former U.S. Department of Justice Trial Attorney and AM Law 50 litigator who maintains a full caseload of active matters while integrating AI into his daily workflow.  Derek currently serves as a Partner at Potomac Law, a new model law firm designed for the 21st Century that leverages innovation and technology to best serve its clients.  Derek was recently selected as the Qui Tam Lawyer of the Year in Washington, D.C. by Best Lawyers®, a peer-based recognition given to only one False Claims Act practitioner in Washington, D.C. each year. His career spans high-stakes government investigations, complex commercial disputes, and federal litigation — and he brings that same rigor to the way he approaches legal technology.  While at the DOJ, Derek was at the forefront of integrating new technologies into his case investigations, cases that recovered more than $5 billion for the federal fisc.
